28th Annual Vegetarian Food Festival - September 7th - 9th, 2012
This event takes place at Harbourfront Centre - 235 Queen's Quay West Toronto
In addition to free admission, there are Free talks and cooking demonstrations from leading vegetarian experts, and you can shop from over 100 vendors, local Toronto restaurants, bakeries and a farmer's market.

Come and join us at the All About Pets Show featuring The Ontario’s Mane Event, March 29th – 31st, 2013! A true pet lover’s paradise dedicated to promoting the responsible ownership of pets. We are proud to deliver to our exhibitors and visitors a first class, consumer pet show.
The show is being held at the International Centre, a world-class facility ideally located for easy access from anywhere in the Metropolitan Toronto Area. The All About Pets Show features more than 160 exhibitors and over the last 19 years the attendance has averaged 27,500 visitors.
Meet representatives from the pet industry showcasing their products and/or services. Exhibitors include pet manufacturers, distributors, retailers, rescue organizations, breeders and breed clubs, pet boarding and travelling with your pet, and now reptiles, fish and horses.

Thornhill Village Festival
is a project of Thornhill's Historical Society, The Society for the Preservation of Historic Thornhill.
The mission of the Thornhill Village Festival is to foster
community spirit, promote the heritage of old Thornhill,
and to provide a venue for the celebration of our community's
diverse cultural traditions.
The festival has five main
components: Craft booths, Parade, Music and Entertainment,
Artists Shows and Food and Beverages.

The 26th Annual Vegetarian Fair, September 10-12, 2010, at the Harbourfront Centre, Free Admission!
The North Toronto Cat Rescue is at this year's Annual Vegetarian Food Fair in Toronto. The fair takes place at the Habourfront and runs from Friday, September 10 to Sunday, September 12. Come visit our stand in the Lakeside Terrace Tent and show your support. On offer: jewelery, cards, hand bags, cat nip toys, NTCR branded pouches and cat nip blankets - all hand-made by our volunteers. Every dollar goes directly go to the cats in the shelter. North Toronto Cat Rescue's Annual Summer Fundraiser is an all-ages fun day at an exclusive private park in the country. Activities include Arts and Crafts Workshops for children and adults, swimming, Tennis & Volleyball Courts, a BBQ (hotdogs, sausages, hamburgers, chicken souvlaki, veggie burgers), a professional Kite Flyer (instructing, doing tricks), hiking trails, Face Painting, Palm-Reading, Japanese Yo-yo, a Silent Auction and much more. The event will take place at Manga International Inc's magnificent 92-acre Simeon Park which will be open to the public for this event. Admission is only $10.00 per car!

Rain was predicted for the day, but it turned out sunny, warm and beautiful, and we went to the 15th Annual Aurora Chamber Street Festival!
It was a great day, we shared, we learned, we ate some great food, and we painted some faces!

The 15th Annual Aurora Chamber Street Festival
will be held Sunday, June 6, 2010, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm on Yonge Street, right in the heart of downtown
Aurora.
Annually the Festival attracts over 40,000 people, making it an amazing opportunity for businesses, vendors, service groups, charities and others to sell to a targeted market and increase awareness of their products and services.
We will be bringing our most talented face painters with us, so make sure you bring your faces to our booth! While visiting with us, you will have the opportunity to learn more about us and what we do. You will be able to get information about our cats and kittens available for adoption, and how to to get started with your new pet or pets! In addition, we will have cat related items you either need or just must have! See you there!

The Unionville Main Street Festival - June 5, 2010, Unionville
Saturday, June 5th, 2010, we were at the Unionville Main Street Festival.
The parade was a hoot, the kids were cute! We had a blast, we saw old friends, we made new ones, and while there, we painted some faces too!

Main Street celebrates 40 years (1970-2010) of this annual spring festival for lots of family fun. Highlights include a Parade on Saturday morning, Fireworks over TooGood Pond on Saturday evening...

Festival Parade on Main Street — 10 a.m. The largest parade in York Region starts at Library Lane and heads south on Main Street to Hwy 7. This year's special guests: riders from the Governor General's Horse Guards in honour of the regiment's 200th anniversary. Enjoy dozens of floats, bands, Krazy Krafts and more!
Pondapalooza at Toogood Pond — 12 p.m. —3 p.m.
-Krazy Kraft Race ($1000 in prizes!)
-Chip and putt with the Angus Glen team
-Canoeing and friendly canoe races
-BBQ and music
Rubber Ducky Race — 2:30 p.m.
Spend $2 and watch your duck battle its way along Bruce Creek to victory. Race starts at the Main St. Bridge just north of Carlton.
FunZone by the Rinks — All Day
Kids of all ages play between Crosby Arena and the Curling Club. Check out the Toronto Maple Leafs Mobile Dressing Room and YTV's
"Weird on Wheels," plus basketball galore thanks to the Raptors Nets, and Hoops with Silver Knights Basketball. Visit the Jumping Castles in Crosby Park.

Silent Auction in Crosby Park
As you enjoy music and refreshments in Crosby Park, bid on great auction items. Proceeds support ongoing Unionville Festival activities.

Join your neighbours and friends along the banks of Toogood Pond to witness a fantastic display of fire power and lights.

Neither rain nor hail, neither wind nor any other misery mother nature inflicted on us could keep NTCR from trying to find forever homes for our many lovely and lovable cats!
working towards getting our new shelter open! Thanks everyone who brought cats and supplies to the Aurora Pet Valu store on Saturday May 9th 2009! Thank you also to Aurora the Pet Valu for hosting this adoption day! Melissa from SNAP Aurora was there to take pictures of the action. Look for them in the June issue of SNAP Aurora! Thanks Melissa!
Even though the the weather made it face painting an impossibilty, we consider the day a success, as our lovely grey and white boy "Carlos" found his new family and forever home!
